Rancour, Bitterness Over PDP’s Decision to Return All Reps Members
Rancour and bitterness are what can rightly describe the order of the Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) given to all the Chairmen of the Party’s Primary election in the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT to ensure that all Serving House of Representative Members are returned as Candidates in today’s Election.
The decision has caused so much pains to would-be aspirants to House of Reps seats across the federation who have spent their fortunes supporting the party and the governorship candidates only for then to be disappointed at the end.
The Party said the decision to return them was a collective one taken by the Party’s hierarchy and hence no Panel Committee Chairman is expected to go contrary to the Directives of the National Chairman Prince Uche Secondus.

Ibraheem Adewale against Segun Adekola (Incumbent).
PRNigeria gathered that all these aspirants would now give way to the incumbents in line with the latest party decision.
A source conversant with the development said they were all disqualified unjustly to allow the incumbents to emerge after allowing them to spend plenty money supporting the Party and its Governorship candidate, adding that one of the candidates spent well over N70m (Seventy-million Naira) during the electioneering campaigning.
There current decision by the PDP have raised tensions in Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency, Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Bende Federal Constituency, Ikwuano Federal Constituency, Osisioma/Ugwunagbo/Obingwa Federal Constituency where there are current House of Representatives members because of plots by some stakeholders in this areas to deny them Return Ticket.
