Ramadan 2018: Group to feed 1500 IDPs in Abuja

NEWS DIGEST – A muslim group, Al-Imran Islamic Foundation is set to feed over 1500 persons who are internally displaced in Abuja.

This was contained in a press statement released sent to News Digest by the group.

The statement read: “As we are gradually approaching the holy month of Ramadan , Al-Imran Islamic Foundation as one of its selfless service to humanity and the generality of the Muslim ummah, is putting in efforts to ensure the feeding of over 1,500 internally displaced persons ( IDPs) in Abuja camp”.

The group is also seeking support of Nigerians from home and abroad in other to help her achieve the task.

“To achieve this however, we are soliciting for meaningful and willful support from the general public as well as organizations” the statement read.

Al-Imran Islamic Foundation is a non- governmental islamic organisation established in 2014 with the goal to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and alleviate problems faced by Nigerian Muslim ummah in the world.

The foundation focuses mainly on the provision of relief materials and developmental aid to the less privileged and needy in Nigeria.

Some of the projects embarked upon before now by the foundation includes “Feed the muslim (IDPs) internally displaced persons” which was first carried out in 2015 , and subsequently in 2016 and 2017. The group has fed over 200 Muslim IDPs.
