President Tinubu Kicks Off Lagos-Calabar Highway Construction

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos to inaugurate the construction of the Lagos-Calabar highway.

He was welcomed at the Murtala Muhammed Airport by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other government officials.

Olusegun Dada, Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, had announced that the President would be inaugurating several projects in celebration of his first year in office.

On Friday, Minister of Works Dave Umahi confirmed that Tinubu would commence the highway’s construction on May 26.

During a meeting with Yoruba leaders at the State House in Abuja, Tinubu assured that his administration would ensure that the average Nigerian feels the positive impact of governance.

He emphasized that the country is transitioning from a state of “bleeding” to one of prosperity, reflecting on a “fulfilling” first year in office despite facing challenges.
