The Presidency has dismissed rumours of an imminent cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu, labelling them as mere speculation.

Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, clarified during an interview with the National Television Authority on Monday.

Ngelale emphasised the president’s awareness of activities within his administration, highlighting the role of Special Adviser Hadiza Bala Usman in monitoring MDAs concerning performance issues.

He further revealed that any potential cabinet reshuffling by President Tinubu would be contingent on the outcome of ongoing investigations into alleged fraud within the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, as well as its Social Investment Programmes.

He said, “The President is fully aware of all factors related to what people are doing and not doing within his administration.

“He does have a special adviser on policy and coordination in the person of Hadiza Bala Usman, who is also monitoring the activities of MDAs concerning performance-related issues, and he has all of that information at any point in time.”
