Seven political parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), have united to establish the Coalition of Concerned Political Parties (CCPP) in Abuja.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) are also part of this collaborative effort.

In a joint statement, they emphasized their goal of providing a robust opposition and alternative solutions to government policies, clarifying that it is a coalition, not a merger. The movement, officially formed in Abuja, aims to contribute positively to Nigeria’s political landscape.

“This coalition wants to offer strong opposition for the good of Nigeria. Our duty is to offer alternative solutions to government policies,” Koshoedo explained.
