The Commissioner of Police for Delta State, Abaniwonda Olufemi, has taken decisive action against alleged misconduct within the force. Following allegations of extortion amounting to N2.465 million against the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) 2 of Abraka Division, SP Ibrahim Ishaku, Commissioner Olufemi has ordered his immediate removal from duty.

The spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, revealed this development to the press. Upon receiving the report of alleged extortion, Commissioner Olufemi directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Abraka to appear at the headquarters, along with SP Ishaku.

Upon review of the incident, Commissioner Olufemi swiftly ordered the removal of SP Ishaku from his position as DCO 2, effective immediately. Additionally, SP Ishaku has been issued a formal query for his alleged misconduct. This decisive action underscores the commitment of the Delta State Police Command to uphold integrity and discipline within its ranks.
