Bertrand Onuoha, the Kogi State Police Commissioner, has officially confirmed the tragic deaths of two students from the Confluence State University who were recently abducted in the Osara area of the state.

 

When asked to verify the deaths, Onuoha responded, “Yes, two of them were found to have been shot this morning.

 

Speaking with journalists in Lokoja, the state capital, on Sunday, the police commissioner did not elaborate on the details surrounding the incident. He mentioned that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of their deaths._

 

According to a report by PUNCH online, an undisclosed number of students from the institution were abducted two weeks ago while preparing for their first-semester examination scheduled for last Monday.

Fortunately, 21 of the kidnapped students have been rescued by a combined team of police and local vigilantes.

A Non-Governmental Organization, Education for All, previously identified the two students who lost their lives as James Anajuwe, a 100-level Information Technology student, and Musa Hussein, a 100-level Software Engineering student of the university.
