Perpetrators of Ekiti monarchs will not escape justice, says Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has vowed that killers of Ekiti State monarchs would not escape justice.

Recall that gunmen on Monday killed the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Samuel Olusola, and the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsola.

Similarly, the some assailants attacked the Eporo-Ekiti area of the state and kidnapped at least six pupils, teachers, and a bus driver.

Tinubu said this while condemning the recent attacks in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, described the act as “mindless and brutal bloodletting”.

The president also directed the immediate rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers.

Tinubu, according to the statement, condoled with the families and subjects of the traditional rulers, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and the people of Ekiti State.

“As security of life and property is the primary responsibility of the government, President Tinubu assured Nigerians that the nation’s security architecture is being robustly fortified for better and expected outcomes,” the statement added.
