The Federal Government has opened additional e-passport offices at selected Nigerian embassies in Italy, Spain, Greece, Austria and Switzerland.

Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, inaugurated the facilities at the Nigerian Embassy in Rome.

A statement by the Service Public Relations Officer (SPRO), Dr. Adedotun Aridegbe, yesterday, in Abuja, said the new centres were part of efforts to streamline passport processing and acquisition for Nigerians abroad.

Tunji-Ojo reaffirmed the dedication of the President Bola Tinubu administration to citizens’ diplomacy and enhancement of services to the Diaspora community.

Represented by the Acting Comptroller General, Caroline Adepoju, the minister announced the phased rollout of the enhanced e-passport in Europe.
