In his statement, Prince Adeniyan emphasized that the dissolution is effective immediately. The Governor has instructed the current Chairman of OSOPADEC to hand over all responsibilities to the Secretary of the Commission without delay. This swift action underscores the Governor’s commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and continuity in the commission’s operations.

“The Chairman is hereby directed to hand over to the Secretary of the Commission,” the statement read. This directive highlights the importance of maintaining stability and efficiency within the commission during the transition period.

Governor Aiyedatiwa also expressed his gratitude to the outgoing Chairman and other board members for their dedication and contributions during their tenure. “The Governor thanks the Chairman and other members for their services and wishes them well in their future endeavours,” the statement continued.

The dissolution of the OSOPADEC board marks a significant development in the administration’s efforts to enhance the management and effectiveness of the commission, which plays a crucial role in the development of oil-producing areas in Ondo State.

By restructuring the board, the Governor aims to bring in new leadership and perspectives that will drive the commission towards achieving its goals more efficiently.
