The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced the registration of 2.5 million businesses nationwide, emphasising its commitment to ensuring full compliance across all 36 states.

Hussaini Magaji, the Registrar General, revealed this milestone during a leadership retreat in Abuja on Tuesday.

He highlighted the imperative of collecting comprehensive data on businesses operating in each state, signalling the end to tolerance for unregistered businesses.

Magaji linked this initiative to the President’s goal of creating 50 million jobs for Nigerians, underscoring the CAC’s pivotal role in economic growth.

The retreat also spotlighted the commission’s transformative efforts to enhance service quality and streamline registration processes for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Magaji urged state coordinators to expedite data collection to facilitate effective governance and regulatory compliance nationwide.
