NEWS DIGEST- In an operation conducted by Pushkar Police in India, two Nigerian women, identified as Adaze Jaye, 43, and Lagantius Chamika, 23, have been apprehended for their involvement in drug trafficking. The arrest took place on Sunday, October 29, following reports by First India.

During the arrest, law enforcement officials confiscated a substantial quantity of mephedrone weighing a total of 65 grams, along with ₦613,831 in cash and a digital wave machine. The estimated street value of the seized narcotics amounts to approximately ₦5,786,585.

Rakesh Yadav, the police in charge, stated that a case has been registered against both suspects under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act. A comprehensive investigation is currently underway, and higher-ranking officials and the control room have been duly notified of the operation.
