This incident follows the NDLEA’s seizure of 8,852 kilograms in the same area six months ago, marked by a 30-minute gunfire exchange. Commodore Kolawole Olumide Oguntuga, NNS BEECROFT’s commander, highlighted Eleko Beach’s emergence as a hotspot for drug trafficking.
The successful seizure resulted from the rapid response of command officers to escalating criminal activities in the state’s backwaters.
