Multichoice Nigeria, organizer of Nigerian Idol, has officially opened entries for the ninth season of the popular singing competition.

The ninth edition, themed “Dare to Dream,” aims to inspire young Nigerians between 16 and 28 to showcase their talents at an audition.

The call for online submissions follows the success of Victory Gbakara at the eighth edition where he won the grand prize of N100 million, including N35 million in cash, a car and a recording contract.

Aspiring participants have been invited to submit a 30-second rendition of any song of their choice to the official Nigerian Idol website, africamagic.tv/nigerianidol.

The Executive Head of Content and Channels for West Africa, Dr Busola Tejumola, emphasized the organization’s commitment to enabling young talent and providing premium entertainment in her address.

Whle reflecting on previous editions, she encouraged young Nigerians to seize the opportunity and use their voices to project African stories to the rest of the world.

Season nine promises to deliver even greater entertainment compared to previous ediitons. Dr Tejumola concluded by revealing Bigi and Tecno have come on board as sponsors for the upcoming season.
