Brig-Gen. Mohammed Gambo of the 23 Armored Brigade, Yola, was relieved of duty due to the midnight assault on Adamawa Police HQ. A dozen heavily armed soldiers, mobilized by the former commander last month, led to casualties, prompting Gambo’s removal.
