Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the first lady, has reaffirmed her demand for harsher punishments for kidnapping and urged legislators to draft legislation discouraging such acts in the nation.

The accusation was made by Senator Tinubu when she welcomed the three senators from Lagos State’s senatorial districts into her office at the State House.

*We should investigate the legislation we would bring up, said the First Lady, who had previously stated that the only way to deter kidnappers is through harsher punishment. It feels like we are fighting a war on kidnapping and kidnappers when it comes to this issue.

She also cautioned Nigerians to always look out for one another.

She states that “President Tinubu’s administration is determined to leave a legacy for future generations.” This requires a great deal of bravery and sacrifice.

Prior to this, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking and Finance, the senator representing Lagos East, and the chairman of the Southern Senators Forum, stated that President Bola Tinubu’s reforms are on track to place the country on a stable path of long-term prosperity and economic well-being.

Additionally, he gave his word that the Senate would keep investigating legislation that prioritizes people, particularly in relation to security and the economy.

Senator Adetokunbo Abiru expressed hope that the country would become a haven for the economy shortly.

Senators Wasiu Eshinlokun Sanni, representing Lagos Central, and Dr. Oluranti Adebule, representing Lagos West, were also present as a courtesy visit.
