According to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Kaduna State Command, their agents have demolished 13 illegal drug establishments and taken 90 suspects into custody in Kaduna.

According to Samaila Danmallam, the state commander of the NDLEA, the arrests and deconstruction of illegal drug joints occurred in November, she told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.

Additionally, Mr. Danmallam revealed that 478.038 kilogrammes of various illegal narcotics had been taken into custody during the month.

According to him, among the 90 suspects arrested, 85 are males while five are females.

He said the command’s drug demand reduction efforts had continued with various advocacy and sensitisation programmes across the state

According to Mr. Danmallam, this was done to educate the public about the dangers of drug misuse and illegal trafficking.

The commander asked parents to keep a close eye on their children at all times.

Mr. Danmallam further urged that the battle against illicit drug trafficking and use should be a shared responsibility and made a call for timely and helpful information to support preventative actions.
