The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida has emphasised the importance of investing in digital education and skill development to empower Nigerian youth and enhance their job opportunities.

Maida during an inspection recently at the Digital Bridge Institute Campus in Enugu gained valuable insights into the institute’s pivotal role in fostering technological innovation and bridging the digital divide across the nation.

Accompanied by other top officials of the NCC, the EVC engaged in lengthy interactive sessions and demonstrations with faculty members, students, and staff.

He stressed the essential role of the initiatives in driving socio-economic development adding the NCC’s backing for projects that enhance digital literacy and broaden access to telecom services across the country.

He further reiterated the commission’s dedication to collaborating with academic institutions and industry stakeholders to accelerate Nigeria’s digital transformation journey.

Maida wrapped the tour by praising the Digital Bridge Institute for its vital role in developing talent and promoting innovation in the ICT sector.
