The Senate leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, has affirmed that the National Assembly is committed to working with the executive and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the stability of both the economy and democracy.

He made these remarks on Wednesday during a tour to inspect various projects that he initiated across Ado-Ekiti, Aramoko, Eriyiyan, Ijero-Ekiti, Efon, and other areas within his Ekiti Central senatorial district.

Accompanied by Gov. Biodun Oyebanji, the Senate leader inspected several projects, including hospital buildings, medical students’ hostels, a library, road infrastructure, and a mini-stadium in Ekameta.

During his visit to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, where he donated a hostel currently under construction, Mr Bamidele commended the alumni association and other stakeholders for their contributions towards the development of the institution.

In response, Gov. Oyebanji praised the Senate leader for his efforts in providing essential social amenities and public infrastructure to his constituency, which he believes will greatly benefit the citizens.

The governor reiterated the significance of collaborative efforts between state governments and the National Assembly, particularly through lawmakers’ constituency projects, in fostering socio-economic development for the people of Ekiti and beyond.

“Senator Bamidele stands as a symbol of hope and effective leadership and collaborative governance, paving the way for a transformative development for other regions to emulate.

“Ekiti belongs to all of us. If there’s any local government you want to assist, do so.

“I will always support the university and see what we can do. As a government, we are going to make a tremendous mark here,” he said.
