NEWS DIGEST- The operators of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), known as Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), have announced an upward revision of fees for their car park and lounge services.

The decision, which will come into effect on November 1, 2023, is a response to the prevailing economic conditions in the country.

BASL explains that this tariff adjustment for car park and VIP lounge services has been delayed for a considerable period. The delay was an intentional act of economic solidarity with terminal users, despite the unavoidable nature of the tariff increase.

However, due to the need for smooth and excellent operational purposes, the adjustment has now become inevitable.

The revised tariffs will mainly impact the car park and VIP lounge services, with the access fees for the VIP walk-in lounge seeing a significant increase of 33.3%.

Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, the spokesperson for the airline, relayed a statement from Mr. Kola Bamigboye, the Head of Spaces and Premises for BASL. According to the statement, the new car park tariff structure will offer more convenience to users who spend less than 30 minutes within the multi-storey car park facility.
