The Islamic scholar, Abdullateef Aliyu, widely known as Mufti Yaks, has tragically passed away. The news of his passing was confirmed earlier today.

Mufti Yaks, a notable figure on social media and an inspirational speaker in religious circles, was greatly influenced by the teachings of renowned Zimbabwean Islamic speaker, Mufti Menk.

In a heartfelt message shared across his social media pages, Mufti offered his condolences for the loss of his protege.

He said: “I’m saddened by the news of the death of the young Abdul Latif Miyaki, Mufti Yaks this morning. He was a very talented young lad trying to spread goodness. May Allah Almighty forgive him, accept his good deeds and grant him the highest ranks of Paradise. Aameen.”

Professor Isa Pantami also described Mufti Yaks’ passing as a great loss. He wrote: “Inna lil Laahi wa inna ilaiHi Raajiun. Just heard that our beloved son, Abdullateef Aliyu Maitaki, popularly known as MUFTI YAKS passed away. What a great loss! May the Almighty Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.”
