An increase in the car park and lounge services cost at the airport terminal has been announced by Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, which operates Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two.

Asserting that the tariff review was necessary in light of the country’s new economic reality, BASL said that the decision had been put off for a long time out of respect for airport terminal customers.

According to BASL, the price changes will only apply to the rates for the VIP Lounge and Car Park as of November 1, 2023.

This was revealed by the BASL in a statement that was made accessible to The PUNCH on Tuesday and was signed by Mr. Kola Bamigboye, Head of Spaces and Premises, and Ajoke Yinka-Olawuyi, Head of the Corporate Communications Department.

According to the statement from BASL, “Our car park tariffs have been revised to align with our ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade the facilities, ensuring a safe and convenient parking experience for our valued passengers.”

By accounting for visitors who stay in the multi-story parking facility for less than 30 minutes, according to Bamigboye, the new parking cost structure will make it more convenient for users.

Supervisor-In-Charge of Lounge Services at MMA2, Esther Ojeiwa, explained that the admission charge to the VIP walk-in lounge had to be increased by 33.3% in order to continue top-notch services at the lounge.

According to Ojeiwa, travelers seeking comfort and convenience can access the MMA2 VIP walk-in lounge since it offers a peaceful setting to unwind and relax before boarding and departing from scheduled flights.

“We have updated our lounge tariffs, offering even greater value for your money,” she continued, “to further enhance the lounge experience.”

The management of BASL wants to reassure the public that these adjustments are necessary to enable continued enhancements to our facilities, services, and overall passenger experience at MMA2, according to Yinka-Olawuyi.

These new tariffs will take effect on November 1, 2023, and they will also be posted on our website, the speaker stated.
