Two women tragically lost their lives after being struck by lightning during a rainstorm in the FESTAC area of Lagos State.
This was announced on Saturday by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police spokesman, in a post he shared on his X handle, @benHundeyin.
Hundeyin said that the incident happened during the rain on Friday.

“Somewhere on First Avenue, FESTAC, two women remained indoors during the downpour yesterday.
“Lightning struck, electrocuting them instantly and causing a fire outbreak,” he said.
He claims that the victims reside in a makeshift home supported by high-voltage wires.
The spokesperson expressed her condolences for the departed and wished them eternal peace.
