Lee Rigby killer wants to serve rest of his jail term in Nigerian prison
NEWS DIGEST – Michael Adebowale, the British man of Nigerian decent in jail for killing Lee Rigby, is pleading to serve the rest of his jail term in Nigeria.

Michael Adebowale ,37, was convicted in 2013 for the murder and is currently serving a 45 year jail term, he is believed to be seeking a prisoner-swap deal that will see him serve the rest of his jail term in a Nigerian prison with VIP wing.
He’s seeking to be transferred to Kirikiri prisons where former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson promised to donate £700,000 to build a VIP ward.
A source told The Sun UK:
“Michael hates Wakefield. It’s stuffed full of lags who see him as a top target. He thinks he can spend the rest of his sentence in Africa.”
The bid to have him transferred to Nigeria might fail because he was not born in the country.
