The Lagos State Environmental Taskforce has arrested 110 persons suspected to have destroyed and stole rail track components around Pen Cinema-Iju Fagba corridor in the state.

The state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed the arrests, highlighting the government’s commitment to addressing rail track vandalism.
On Thursday morning, he wrote on his X handle: “In an ongoing operation to clean up and secure the Redline rail track around the Pen Cinema – Iju Fagba corridor as ordered by the Lagos State Governor, Mr @jidesanwoolu.
“110 persons were arrested overnight by the Environmental Taskforce team headed by CSP Shola Jejeloye.”
