Kylian Mbappe, a striker for France, has declared his plan to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current campaign.

On Friday, he announced the news in a video that was posted to his Instagram page.

“…I have always said I will speak with you when the time comes. And so I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint Germain. I will not extend. The adventure will come to an end in a few weeks,” he said in the video.

The 25-year-old’s contract with the Ligue 1 winners is about to expire, and Real Madrid has been strongly suggested as a potential destination.

Last summer, there was a significant impasse between Mbappe and PSG regarding his future.

Mbappe was once kicked out of the first team and didn’t travel with the team to Asia for their preseason tour.

Nevertheless, a deal was struck to guarantee PSG would not lose out when Mbappe eventually left, though the specifics of his now-likely impending departure are still unknown.
