Can Kwankwasiyya deliver Kano for the PDP?

NEWS DIGEST – When Kwankwaso led Mr Peter Obi, the Vice presidential candidate and the ‘Kwankwasiyya’ gubernatorial candidate, Abba K. Yusuf to meet with the Amb. Aminu Wali’s camp at Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo’s residence to appeal to the camp to sheath their swords, I couldn’t hold my laughter.

I already predicted that the time will come when the “self appointed master” would become a begger.

Let me remind the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement of a speech in one scene in Shakeaspeare’s Julius Caesar- ‘Cowards die many times before their deaths, but the valiant never taste death but once’.

It’s technically okay if I postulate that  Kwankwaso is metaphorically the Caesar of Kano politics.

What will vindicate my assertion is the possible and likely tragic end of Kwakwaso and Kwankwssiyya after the forthcoming general elections have been concluded.

Bearing this in mind, and, of course, going by the historical happenings of Kano politics, that is the reason the leader of Kwankwasiyya decided to face reality and get himself and Kwankwasiyya out of their self imposed delusion of grandeur!

Thus, though, almost late, it has now dawned on him that without the old-PDP camp headed by Amb. Aminu Wali victory for him and his gets further by the day, PDP in Kano as ever since kwankwasos return is heading towards self-destruction!

But the question  now is that how sincere is the leader of Kwankwasiyya in his new approach? Everyone knows that Kwankwaso is a person who doesn’t believe in win-win in crisis nanagement; does that mean he is interested in using the old PDP camp to climb the ladder of victory without any pre-election arrangement?

Obviously, it’s widely known that electorate at the grassroot are with the PDP; they get rid of the APC and ever ready to vote it out. Thus, Kwankwasiyya want to the advantage of PDP’s popularity.

However, what Kwankwaso’s followers don’t seem to acknowledge is the trend of politics in Kano where there exists a dichotomy between the voting electorate  who, on the election day, cast their votes and go back home  and the politicians who are partisan, experts, field marshals, with the technical know how of how to win elections!

The irony is that what one politician can do that may lead to victory on the election day may possibly out weigh what a group of ordinary voters can do.

In this vein, every follower of Kano politics knows that most of the political giladiators, or let me say, the political field marshals of Kano PDP politics are in the camp of Amb. Aminu Wali, the old PDP.

Take the likes of Amb. Aminu Wali, former Foreign Affairs minister, one of the founding members of the PDP, Bello Hayatu Gwarzo, a four-term senator and a grassroot politician, Sen. Masud El-doguwa, a two term chairman of the party, Rt Hounarable Imam Salisu Buhari, a former Speaker, House of Reps, Alh. Yahaya Umar Bagoburi, a grassroot politician, a mobiliser, also, a Kano State DG of Alh. Atiku Abubakar, (a presidential candidate of the party) His Excellency, Sadiq Aminu Wali,  a young, vibrant and fearless grassroot politician, a philantropist, a PDP gubernatorial aspirant, Alh. Ibrahim Ali Amin Little, a grassroot politician, one term gubernatorial candidate, a philantropist.etc

How on earth can one enter elections while at logger heads with the above mentoned leaders?

An ordinary blind follower of Kwankwasiyya may think Kwankwaso alone can do the job, but an open-minded observer knows that all is not well with the PDP in Kano State!
