Killings: Clashes a reflection of Economic Condition of citizenry-Saraki

NEWS DIGEST -Senate President Bukola Saraki has said that the clashes that has led to the killings of Nigerians is as a result of the Economic situation in the country.

He said this during the Senate Plenary session today.
“Distinguished colleagues, it is clear that internal tensions are also a reflection of the economic condition of the citizenry”
”To this end, I call on Committees that have not reported on their various mandates to quickly do so, so that we can conclude work on outstanding Bills intended to create economic prosperity for Nigerians.”
”We will therefore be calling on all stakeholders to put Economic Bills on the fast lane in order that we may conclude them, so that we can open the door to greater opportunities for our people. Growth and development can only serve to deepen our democracy.”- Senate President Bukola Saraki said.
Nigeria has been hit by killings by suspected Herdsmen in Plateau state which has drawn international condemnation. The Federal Government has continued to restate commitment towards ending the crisis and vowed to ensure safety of lives and properties.
