The Kano State Government has said it is providing pilgrims from the state who are currently in Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Hajj exercise free meals twice daily.

In a statement released on Saturday, Shuaibu Ibrahim, the spokesperson for the Deputy Governor of Kano State and Head of Media Team for Kano State pilgrims, announced that the best services have been extended to the pilgrims in order to guarantee their well-being and comfort throughout their stay in the sacred land.

Furthermore, Ibrahim emphasized that two meals per day are being offered to all pilgrims from Kano State, irrespective of their social or economic backgrounds.

“The meals, which are prepared by a team of experienced chefs, are nutritious and delicious, and are served in a clean and hygienic environment,” he said.

The Kano State Government has sent a team of medical experts to Saudi Arabia to treat the pilgrims in addition to providing food.

The medical team, which consists of physicians, nurses, and other medical specialists, is based at the Kano State pilgrims’ camp in Mecca and is on call to help pilgrims with their medical needs around-the-clock.

In addition, an environmental team from the state government has been sent to make sure the pilgrims’ surroundings are safe and hygienic.

The team, which includes sanitation experts and environmental health officers, is responsible for ensuring that the pilgrims’ camp is kept clean and hygienic and that all necessary measures are taken to prevent the outbreak of diseases.

“The Government’s gesture has been widely praised by pilgrims and stakeholders alike, who have commended the government for its commitment to the welfare of its citizens in the holy land,” the statement said.
