Halilu Kundila, a distinguished member of the Kano State House of Assembly, has passed away.

Kundila, an All Progressives Congress (APC) representative from the Shanono/Bagwai State Constituency, breathed his last on Saturday night, aged 59.

A family source confirmed that the lawamaker peacefully died on Saturday night following a brief battle with an undisclosed illness.

The funeral prayer for the lawmaker was solemnly held on Sunday morning in Kundila, situated in the Shanono Local Government Area of the state.

“The lawmaker died on Saturday night after a brief illness and had since been buried in his hometown, Kundila,” the source said.

Yusuf Badau, a member of the House of Representatives and Shanono/Bagwai, along with a few of his colleagues from the state assembly, were present at the funeral prayer.

The late lawmaker left behind 17 children and four wives.
