The Kaduna State government has denied recent allegations of a suicide bomb attack on the Kaduna-Abuja Road.

In a statement issued today by Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, the government clarified that no such incident occurred as reported.

“The Ministry has been made aware of circulating reports suggesting a suicide attack or similar incident along the Kaduna-Abuja Road,” the statement read.

“As of the latest update at 5:00 PM today, Wednesday, July 3, 2024, there has been no verifiable incident of a suicide attack or any other security breach on the Kaduna-Abuja Road.”

Security forces and intelligence sources continue to maintain vigilance along the route, conducting thorough inspections and security assessments.

The government assured the public that reports claiming otherwise are inaccurate.

“Security agencies deployed along the Kaduna-Abuja Road and surrounding areas remain actively engaged in monitoring and upholding all necessary security protocols for the safety of citizens and commuters,” the statement concluded.
