Paul Agomoh, a former disciple of the late Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, known as TB Joshua, has revealed that he was forced into hiding for nearly eight years following his attempts to expose the  activities of the late Pastor of the Synagogue Church of All Nations.

Agomoh shared his story with the media on Monday night, following a 150-minute investigative report titled “Disciples: The Cult of TB Joshua,” hosted by the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

The report included testimonies from former disciples and church employees who accused the late prophet of manipulation and physical abuse.

Agomoh, who claimed to be the first Prophet under the SCOAN, said that followers of Prophet TB Joshua pursued him across Cotonou, Lagos and Ghana, viewing his revelations as sacrilege against the prophet.

Agomoh recounted his time at the Synagogue church, where he served as the first prophet from 1995 to 2006. He thanked the BBC for supporting his journey, which began in 2009 when he released a video with Sister Bisola titled “The Deception of the Age.”

Agomoh described the event leading to his departure from the church as a “terrible experience”. He said, “When I left, I could not sleep, I could not rest. The burden was so much on me. I had to move out with the help of some pastors in ministry, and my friends.”

He claimed his revelations about the late prophet were met with backlash from many who accused him of blasphemy against a “man of God.”

“For a good eight years, I laid low, not doing any ministerial job, not doing any public jobs. I laid low, just with the help of a few pastors,” he added.

“About three years ago, was when I started coming out gradually. I was pursued everywhere, from Cotonou to Ghana, back to Lagos, I was running.”
