During his visit to the VON Lagos office, Mallam Ndace received a warm welcome from directors, deputy directors, and the dedicated staff in the Lagos VON office.

In his address, the newly appointed DG underscored the significance of the Lagos office and emphasized the value of its talented workforce. He pledged to consider Lagos as his second home and assured everyone that a new era was emerging for the Voice of Nigeria.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of embracing change and adhering to global best practices, recognizing VON’s role in advancing its foreign policy and global projection alongside renowned entities like the Voice of America, BBC, Radio France International, and Radio China.

He also highlighted the necessity of harnessing the staff’s potential and the leadership’s responsibility in guiding the way. Mr Ndace envisions VON’s potential for excellence and commits to building upon the legacy of its founders.

With his extensive experience in the field of news, he made it clear that staff welfare would be a top priority.

The VON Director General urged staff to collaborate to elevate the organization and pledged to maintain an open-door policy.

He emphasized the importance of prioritizing staff welfare, pointing out that productivity flourishes when employees are comfortable.

In addition to the familiarization visit, Director General Jibrin Ndace conducted an on-site evaluation of the Broadcasting House office in Ikoyi, inspecting the building’s condition and planning necessary improvements.
