A total of 4,613,197 Permanent Voters’ Cards have been gathered by voters in preparation for the upcoming February 3 rerun/by-elections.

According to a document published by INEC on its X handle, it has been revealed that a total of 2,189,171 PVCs were obtained by voters for the by-elections, whereas 2,424,026 PVCs were collected for the rerun elections.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that a minimum of 8,500 Bimodal Voters Authentication System and more than 35,000 ad-hoc staff will be deployed for the upcoming elections.

According to the commission, 74 domestic observers and one international observer will observe the February 3 elections.

The upcoming by-elections will take place in various regions across the country. Specifically, there will be a court-ordered rerun election in Plateau Central Senatorial district, along with 13 federal constituencies.
These constituencies include Ebonyi South in Ebonyi State, Yobe East in Yobe State, Chibok State Constituency in Borno State, Chikun State constituency in Kaduna State, Guma State Constituency in Benue State, Akoko North East/Akoko North-West Federal Constituency in Ondo State, Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency in Taraba State, Surulere 1 Federal Constituency in Lagos State, and Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski Federal Constituency in Kebbi State.

The Federal constituencies encompass various regions across Nigeria. These include Surulere 1 in Lagos, Gauri/Shanta/Ingaski and Arewa/Dandi in Kebbi, Akoko North East/North West in Ondo, Jalingo/Yorro/Zing in Taraba, and Ikono/Ini in Akwa Ibom. Additionally, there are Akamkpa/Biase in Cross River State, and Yabo/Shagari in Sokoto State.

Furthermore, there are Nnewi North/Nnewi South and Orumba North/Orumba South in Anambra, Igbo Eze North/Udenu in Enugu, Birnin Kudu/Buji in Jigawa, Igabi and Kachia/Kagarko in Kaduna, Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa in Katsina, Jos North/Bases in Plateau, and Fine/Fune in Yobe. Rerun elections are scheduled to take place in several state constituencies, namely Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Enugu, Kaduna, Kano, Nasarawa, Niger, Oyo, Sokoto, and Zamfara.
