Magaji Nda, Abubakar Madibbo Win Best Dressed Award at Ilorin Durbar 2023
NEWS DIGEST – Aliyu Bolaji Magaji Nda and Abubakar Madibbo Sulu Gambari have clinched the “Best Dressed” award at the Ilorin Emirate Durbar 2023.
The Durbar Committee, under the chairmanship of Engr Yahyah Alapansanpa, made this announcement.
Magaji Nda, who is also an international relations graduate, expressed his appreciation to the Durbar committee for finding him worthy of the award.

He said: “I extend my appreciation to the people of Ilorin Emirate for trooping out en masse to grace the cultural event. I do not take this for granted. It’s a great privilege bestowed on us.
“We were happy that we were able to add glamour to the event, and everyone who saw us with our costumes on the horse was happy. I wish visitors who came to celebrate with us from a long distance journey mercies to their respective destinations,” he said.
The Ilorin Emirate Durbar is an annual event that takes place on the second day of Eid-l-Adha (Ileya Festival) at the forecourt of the Emir.
It’s a symbol of prestige and royalty that showcases the spectacular horse racing skills of Ilorin Emirate indigenes.
The festival features horse racing, town storming, cultural displays, local music performances, and many more funfair activities to spice up the celebration of Eid-l-Adha.
