Tensions rose at Banex, a well-known telecommunications market in Abuja, when a conflict erupted between suspected thugs and soldiers on Saturday.
A viral video seen on X showed some civilians beating soldiers during a fight at Banex.

Police Command of the Federal Capital Territory, SP According to Josephine Adeh, members of the FCT Intelligence Response Team have been dispatched by Commissioner of Police Benett Igweh to the scene of the incident.
“The CP has deployed the Intelligence Response Team to the scene,” Adeh confirmed.
