Nigerian Envoy to Guinea Bissau congratulates Gbajabiamila on appointment as Tinubu’s CoS

NEWS DIGEST – The Nigerian Ambassador to Guinea Bissau and Cape Verde, John James Usanga, has congratulated the Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists on Sunday, Ambassador Usanga noted that the appointment has, once again, demonstrated President Tinubu’s avowed commitment to good governance by bringing on board competent, trusted and tested Nigerians to assist him fullfil his campaign promises to Nigerians.

He said Gbajabiamila’s appointment is a befitting development that is rooted in dedication and loyalty to the nation.

He said: “The appointment is clearly suitable for the intended purpose and is deserving of a man whose track record as a legislator and service to the nation remains unblemished. His experience and suitability for the strategic office of Chief of Staff is indisputable. I am hopeful that Gbajabiamila will deploy his varied skills to the service of the country to help the president move the country to economic stability.

“Gbajabiamila is a respected lawyer, administrator and a highly-regarded lawmaker, who has worked at the highest level of lawmaking including being the minority leader, majority leader and currently the Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives.

With the aforementioned qualifications, the Ambassador said Gbajabiamila’s appointment is, indeed, well thought-out and speaks volumes of President Tinubu’s penchant for excellence.””

He also said he is confident that Gbajabiamila will bring to bear his scholarly intellect, international network, professional and administrative experience in ensuring the smooth running of the office of the president and support the government to provide good governance and successfully deliver Tinubu’s programmes for the benefit of Nigerians.

“I pray the Almighty God to guide and protect Gbajabiamila on this delicate national assignment ,” he added.
