Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State emphasized on Tuesday that the state government cannot singularly resolve the housing challenges it faces, but affirmed a commitment to narrowing the deficit within the state.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Lagos Building Investment Company and the Rising Lagos Apartment in the Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the leadership of LBIC and its Public Private Partner, WGC, for their dedication and innovative approach in delivering these projects for the people of Lagos.

Sanwo-Olu reiterated the need for collaborative efforts, stating, “The government alone cannot tackle these housing challenges in Lagos.

We will continue to explore innovative solutions and foster genuine partnerships.” He stressed the government’s commitment to sustainable development, aiming to ensure that every deserving Lagos resident has access to decent and affordable housing.

Encouraging the private sector and other real estate stakeholders to seize opportunities in Lagos, the governor expressed confidence that together with collaborative efforts, they can fulfill the city’s housing needs, turning the vision of a greater Lagos into reality.

Earlier, LBIC Managing Director Olusola Faleye had highlighted the project’s significance as a major achievement for the state government and its residents.
