The appointment of sole administrators for each of the state’s 14 Local Government Councils has been approved by Zamfara Governor Dauda Lawal.

The governor also gave his approval to the local governments’ appointments of secretaries and supervisory council members.

The governor was quoted as adding that the appointees were “carefully selected based on past achievements and track records” in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant, Sulaiman Idris.

The appointees include Bashar Musa for Anka Local Government, Sa’idu Danbala for Bakura, Isiyaka Ibrahim for Birnin-Magaji.and Nasiru Muhammad for Bukkuyum.

Other are Nura Umar for Bungudu, Aminu Nuhu for Gummi, Yahaya Garba for Gusau, Kasimu Sani-Kaura for Kauran-Namoda and Yahaya Giwa for Maradun.

The remaining individuals are Aminu Atiku for Zurmi, Junaidu Muhammad-Barade for Shinkafi, Aliyu Adamu-Barmo for Tsafe, Lukman Jafar for Talata-Mafara, and Yusuf Sani-Bindin for Maru.

The appointments, according to the announcement, were for a period of six months and were contingent upon the House of Assembly’s approval.
