Governor Bala Mohammed has commended the traditional rulers in Bauchi for their crucial role in upholding peace.

The governor gave his appreciation during a Sallah homage at the government house on Thursday, where he welcomed the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Adamu, and other traditional leaders.

Governor Mohammed affirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with the federal government to enhance the position of traditional institutions in the state and ensure their contributions are acknowledged.

He also expressed satisfaction with the vibrant Durbar procession in 2024 and encouraged the state’s traditional institutions to preserve this longstanding tradition.

Mr Adamu said they were at the Government House to exercise the annual tradition and expressed delight at the successful completion of Ramadan fasting.

The emir expressed his delight at the successful completion of Ramadan fasting and commended the governor for his efforts in upgrading the palaces of all the emirs and district heads across the state, a move that would undoubtedly enhance their operations.
