At Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, Olowu, also known as Gentle Boy, emerged victorious against Ghana’s Alidu Sulemana through a split decision. Sulemana, a last-minute replacement for Michael Ansah, couldn’t stop Gentle Boy from claiming the regional belt.

Meanwhile, in other notable bouts, Sifon “Best” Iwatt secured the national super flyweight title by outpunching Saheed “Eagle” Azeez in a unanimous decision victory, earning his first professional title.

Best’s outstanding performance also earned him the prestigious Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy for the best boxer of the night, along with a N2 million cash prize. In the national light welterweight contest, Ahmed “Eshe” Ganiyu delivered a fifth-round knockout against Ayanfe “Battle Boy” Adeoye.

Abdulafeez “Big Name” Osoba claimed victory in the national super welterweight category with a technical knockout over Christopher Ucheji, while Bolatito “Black Tito” Oluwole retained her national female cruiserweight belt by beating Blessing Abisoye through a unanimous decision.
