Garden City Business School holds 2nd convocation

Garden City Premier Business School, an internationally affiliated institution based in Port Harcourt, is set to hold its second convocation ceremony on Friday, December 22, 2023.

A statement by the coordinating council member for convocation, Her Excellency, Dr. Mina Tele Ikuru, revealed that a total of 19 students would be awarded Postgraduate degrees by European Global School – University, the affiliate institution of the business school.

She said, “On Friday, 22nd December, 19 students of this prestigious business school who have undergone in-depth class and research work in their respective fields of study will be awarded DBA, Ph.D., MBA and M.Sc. degrees respectively by European Global School, Paris, France.”

“We are confident that products of this institution are best positioned to become top industry leaders having painstakingly gone through a robust learning tailored towards meeting industry needs as well as carrying out thoroughly researched thesis, dissertation and capstone projects.”

Ikuru also said that the business school focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation, and has been consistent in grooming entrepreneurs, adding that courses offered by the institution are delivered by a mix of lecturers with industry and academic experience.

Her Excellency, Dr. Ikuru who is a distinguished medical practitioner with the Rivers State Civil Service, is also a graduate of the European Global School-University and the Garden City Premier Business School, from where she obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Strategic Management in 2022.

The Garden City Premier Business School in partnership with the European Global School-University, France, offers courses in the management sciences such as; Business Administration, Strategic Management, Healthcare Management, Strategic Marketing, Project Management, Business Development & Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Finance, Logistic & Supply Chain Management, Corporate Governance, International Business, Leadership Development and, Leadership & Human Resources Management.

The convocation will feature a lecture titled “Entrepreneurial Orientation of Advanced Degree Graduates and Financial Security in Contemporary Nigeria,” which will be delivered by Dr. Uzo Uwaga, a former President of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
