NEWS DIGEST- Early on Wednesday morning, chaos and panic ensued following a fire outbreak at Lagos’s international airport.

Authorities have reported that the inferno was caused by a faulty cable on the Tarmac, throwing airport staff and passengers into confusion.

Thankfully, the airport fire service was able to put out the fire, and all passengers and staff were successfully evacuated from the building. 

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) issued a statement confirming the incident and adding that the Lagos State Fire Service was present to provide additional support.
