NEWS DIGEST – Football fans in Ilorin have expressed readiness to support their darling Kwara United FC as the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) begins on Sunday.

Some of the fans who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Ilorin said they were all ready to cheer the club to excel in the competition.

NAN reports that Kwara United will on Sunday host Sunshine Stars of Akure at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin at 4 p.m in their league opener.

One of them, Rotimi Jimoh, said he was set to watch all Kwara United home matches this season to cheer them to victory.

“ I will support them whole heartedly and cheer them to booking a continental ticket and winning the league,” he said.

Another, Benjamin Aremu, said he had saved enough money to buy tickets for every of their match on home ground.

“If not for work and time, I will follow them to away matches to cheer them because I am in love with Kwara United,” he said.

Ronke Idowu said she had missed the NPFL and has had boring weekend without league actions.

“I have been praying to God for intervention so that the league can resume. To me, nothing is as lively as supporting Kwara United.

“I am fully ready this season. We will do our best to lift their spirit with our support. We will make United home ground become a lion’s den for visiting clubs,” she said.

For Mubarak Bello, he has not only purchased Kwara United Jersey for the season at the shop but has also customised it.

“I have customised my Jersey because I am a die hard fan of the Afonja Warriors. We are ready to shout on top of our voice to support our United,” said Bello. (NAN)
