Chelsea are seeking permission to speak with Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca as they look to replace Mauricio Pochettino, according to Sky Sports.

Maresca has successfully guided Leicester back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Before his current role, he served as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City.

Chelsea are searching for a manager who fits into the club’s structure, emphasizes possession-based football, and excels in media interactions and team collaboration.

They also want someone capable of competing with top managers like Guardiola and Mikel Arteta.

The search for a new head coach will be overseen by co-owner Behdad Eghbali, along with co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.
