Emir Sanusi confers traditional title on Buhari’s minister (Photo)
NEWS DIGEST – The emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has approved the appointment of the minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, as Baraden Kano, DAILY NIGERIAN has learnt.
In a terse statement issued by the emirate recently, the turbaning ceremony would hold on May 11 at the Emir’s Palace, Kano.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the title of Baraden Kano was adopted from Sokoto Sultanate, and Mr Dambazau will be the first to clinch it in the recent history of the emirate.

The minister’s relationship with the emir’s palace has been cordial, having married to a princess in the royal house.
Recently, the emir had conferred the title of Zannan Kano on a retired customs officer, Aminu Sadiq.
