Personally, my admiration for El Rufai began when I acquired his autobiography during my secondary school years. His tale of extraordinary accomplishments at Barewa College, inspired by Mr. Dehinnugbo, the sports master, resonated deeply. This educator, also remembered for influencing my father’s generation at Olofin Anglican Grammar School, Idanre, left a lasting impression.

The forceful handling of the Shi’ia Muslims in Kaduna, exemplified by the brutal raid on Sheikh Elzakyzaky’s residence, remains a dark chapter.
