The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has mobilized both material and human resources across Abuja in preparation for the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, announced this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.
The deployment aims to ensure that residents enjoy a peaceful and serene environment before, during, and after the Eid festivities.

The command has also positioned explosive ordinance device (EOD) experts and personnel at various prayer grounds, recreational and event centers, as well as identified high-risk areas.
“Worthy of note are diversion points in the territory, some of which include: diversion point around Eid ground by airport interchange to Games village and Jabi by airport road into the main city.
“The Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, urges residents to give the police operatives utmost cooperation, as the deployments are solely aimed at ensuring the safety of the populace”, the statement added.
