Edo State Police Transfers Custody of Sarah to Commissioner for Gender-Based Violence
The Edo State Police Command has transferred custody of four-year-old Sarah, who was seen half-naked in a viral video, to the State Commissioner for Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Christabel Elawu, for special care.
The girl was filmed in a hotel room in Auchi with her father and another person.
State Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye, mentioned that the Edo State Commissioner for Gender and the First Lady’s office were concerned about the case.

Handling over the four-year-old girl to the Edo State Commissioner for Gender Based Violence (GBV), Funsho Adegboye, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the command, said the 28-year-old father of the little girl, Musa Suleiman, has been handed over to the Deputy Commissioner of Police State.
Adegboye said the suspect remains under discreet investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department to ascertain the full extent of his involvement in this distressing situation.
He handed the little girl over to the commissioner for Gender-Based Violence in his office at the state police command headquarters in Benin City.
The occasion was witnessed by the command’s management team, the officials and staff of the Ministry of Edo State Gender-Based Violence and the members of the Edo State Coalition of Civil Society.
