Former President Donald Trump has joined TikTok, gaining significant traction within hours of his debut.

His debut video, filmed at the Ultimate Fighting Championship 302 in New Jersey, garnered over 32 million views and attracted 1.8 million followers by Sunday evening.

In the video, which he shared on his verified account, #realDonaldTrump, Trump is seen greeting attendees with a wave. When UFC President Dana White revealed that Trump had joined the platform, the former president said, “It’s my honor.”

In just four hours, the video had 500,000 likes and over 2.7 million views.

Following his felony conviction, the share price of Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG), the company that runs Truth Social, fell. This is when Trump decided to join TikTok.

Remarkably, during his presidency, Trump had previously tried to outlaw TikTok in the US.
